What to Wear to the Cincy Open
Partnered content with 3 local businesses.
Concept: As the Cincy Open approached, I was obsessed with the idea of what to wear. And as I saw other tennis girls sharing outfits I realized this would be a good opportunity to partner with local boutiques and share some ideas of what local Cincinnati girls are wearing to the open.
Strategy: This type of post felt perfect for:
encouraging locals to shop local
promoting the Cincy Open to the tennis crowd & locals looking for things to do
connect local boutiques and brands to the event to promote them to the people attending from out of town who might want to shop while they are here
My Role: This video was my idea. From concept to outreach to the right boutiques, to styling, filming, editing, copy, and share strategy.
The Takeaway
This reel was cross shared between the boutiques involved and tagged Cincy Tennis. The video got good buzz across platforms and increased views and engagement.
Shop Local Cincy
Partnered Content - Expanding my personal “Shop Local Cincy” series and highlighting Sloane Boutique
Concept: I am a city girl that has always loved roaming big cities. From New York to Chicago to Seattle - downtown is my favorite place to be. As a transplant Cincy girl, I have fully embraced the Cincinnati culture and what our city has to offer. But I also realized that there are so many things that people miss if they aren’t looking for it!
This series is my way of sharing some of the things that have brought me joy in this city. From favorite boutiques to restaurants and events. The point is to share something that might bring other locals joy.
Strategy: This type of post is almost always a “come with me” where I show me (and the family or friends, etc) going somewhere local, showing the process of going through and shopping, then sharing the end result. The hope is to:
show the process and make it easy to see what you’ll get
promote a local shop that I truly believe in
connect to locals and share why it might be a place for them
My Role: This video was my idea. From concept to outreach to Sloane, to styling, filming, editing, copy, and share strategy.
The Takeaway
This reel was a collab post with Sloane and did really well - my audience really loves shopping and style and it was perfect for them. I also know a few people who hadn’t heard of Sloane who have now visited based on the rec!
501 Salon + Spa
Paid Collaboration
They reached out for this specific type of video based on my previous “Shop Local Cincy” and “Where to go” content
Concept: They specifically asked for a “come with me” in their brief. The rest of the filming was up to me. They wanted upbeat, cheerful, shows the process.
Strategy: What they wanted was:
share the process from start to end - before/after
promote their new gua sha facial and their shampoo and style service
I wanted my audience to connect so I tied the story to a long summer of extra cleaning and cooking and now as school starts moms should get their “back to school” refresh too. Kept this storyline as a light reference so as to not overshadow 501.
My Role: They came up with the concept and reached out to me - I executed from there from filming to storyline to editing and posting.
The Takeaway
Client was really happy with the results and the video got above average views and interactions. Lots of saves and sends - result of the discount is not yet over but so far so good!
SOHO Boutique
Social Media Management + Strategy
Concept: Introducing the head of styling at Soho Boutique with the goal of increasing awareness of styling as an offering and create personal relationships with Soho through video connection.
My Role: Created the concept, crafted interview questions that would get us the right dialogue and sound bites, created a good setting with lighting, filmed, edited footage, sound selection, post copy, share strategy.
The Takeaway
This video outperformed the stores typical views by 3x.
Interactions were much higher than typical for the store.
Christina’s Kitchen - Lebanese Zucchini Omelet
Social Media Management + Strategy
Concept: Christina has always had a good presence and isn’t scared to get in front of the camera. She just lacked time to edit and post. She also wanted help cleaning up the edit technique.
Her goal is to share recipes and kitchen tips that will lead to a future in television. She currently is a personal chef and blogger and she brought me on to help in all aspects.
This was a regular recipe share post but I edited it down and tagged it appropriately for her audience.
My Role: Christina filmed around 15 minutes of video and sent it to me in clips. I pulled all the clips together, edited footage, chose sound selection, post copy, share strategy.
The Takeaway
This was Christina’s best video to date!
Christina’s Kitchen - Grilled Southwest Slaw
Social Media Management + Strategy
Concept: This was our first film day together. We wanted to film a full recipe beginning to end so I could direct her and she could pick up on the type of shots that we need for future videos (like in the Zucchini Omelet recipe)
This recipe took us 45 minutes of filming but I wanted to cut it into a montage that catches the eye. But it really still shows the process and the recipe. The recipe was also shared in the caption to maintain attention and create savability and shareability.
My Role: I came to her space and she chose the recipe to share. I set up lighting, directed when necessary, asked questions for longer form content opportunities. Then in post I pulled all the clips together, edited footage, chose sound selection, post copy, share strategy.
The Takeaway
This was the first video we shared after partnering and it had a great response. Many people noticed it as different and elevated from the usual post - but still very much aligned with Christina’s voice and what she wants to share long term.
